For a long time our father, and before him our grand-father, grew grapes and produced vine. Their product was mainly sold locally.
In 2007, when we completed our studies, our father asked us if we wanted to assume the reins of the farm. We wanted to undertake this great adventure and above all to realize our Children’s dream: “When we are grown-ups we only want to produce great wines”…
Pushed by our enthusiasm, with a great good will and constancy, and pursuing our adventure, we set some targets: merchandise our wines outside our territory, increase the extension of our wines and invest in the best technologies to produce greater quality wines, even if we are still aware that to get god wines we have to care the vine with love and to establish a deep relationship with our land.

THE BEGINNING OF THE FRANCO FRANCESCO
Franco Francesco was born in 1911 in San Damiano d'Asti, a small village in province of Asti in the South of Piedmont. Among these fertile lands, in this particular micro-climate, on a land rich in geologic history there are hills dominated by rocks, meadows, woods, ancient castles and roman churches, here Francesco in 1933 planted the first vines ripening their important grapes and giving us elegant wines rich in primary scents. This is the beginning of the story of the Casa Vinicola Franco Francesco.
The great enthusiasm which stimulated Franco Francesco also affects his sons, who decided to follow him in this fascinating adventure. The starting assumption is still the research of the most suitable production techniques to grant, from the vineyard to the cellar, the best possible quality to the final product.
In the following years more vineyards were planted on the Colline Alfieri, which are happily laid at the confluence of three territories, Monferrato, Roero and Langhe, in the valley of the Borbore torrent on the left of the Tanaro river. In this fluvial environment, with a cold mild climate vine shoots of Arneis, Chardonnay and Moscato for white wines, Dolcetto, Grignolino, Nebbiolo, and the well-known Barbera for red wines, were planted and cultivated by the ancient and traditional method Gujot.
