The Piedmont hills are concentrated in the central part of the region. The Piedmont Region has candidated the “Typical wine landscapes of Piedmont” (Langhe, Monferrato, Roero) to become part of the UNESCO World Heritage List, the recognition that protects and enhances places of exceptional importance, both natural and cultural.
